FELLOWSHIP NEWS AND CONCERNS.
We know members have had their own health issues, or have been involved in supporting loved ones with theirs. Let’s be glad that we can offer this support and pray for continued strength and patience to carry on. We especially pray for Joanne Morton and Hilda Hill at this time.
A PRAYER FOR OTHERS When the world falls down around you and a prayer will see you through, Say an extra prayer for someone who may need it more than you. For who knows what hearts are breaking in the silence of the night? Just that extra prayer you whisper may help someone see the light.
Advent Bible Study A six week course, starting on Thursday 15th November at 7:30pm. Come along and take time in the busyness of Christmas preparations to reflect. Thursdays 15th, 22nd, 29th November, 6th, 13th and 20th December. John Cox’s study, O Come, O Come Emmanuel provides the opportunity for a reality check: the reality of who we are and what our world is; the reality of our hope and fears. It encourages us to look afresh at the reality of Jesus, the One who comes, and ask how much he is really a part of our lives.
The Pastoral Leader and Deacons are looking to hold another Vision Meeting in the New Year. Ahead of that, we need to be praying for God’s guidance as to the direction we should be taking as His church in this community. We will be holding A Morning of Prayer on Saturday 24th November 9:00 am – noon, focusing on our church and the community. All are welcome to come along and join with us, whether for the whole 3 hours or for a shorter time. We will give more details about the structure of the morning nearer the time, so that you can time when you arrive and leave – I know that some people feel awkward arriving in the middle of something – me being one of them! Val.
